So Patriots fans are freaking out because Rob Gronkowski is hurt. Yup – this sucks and is not fun at all. I talked to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald last night on Game Night about the injury.

So what does it mean for Patriots fans … well, I think it means that the season isn’t over and the team has to find a way to win games without him. Will they win the Super Bowl now? No. I wasn’t picking them to win it anyways. I think the 3 teams in the AFC West are all better than the Patriots and the Cowboys and Seahawks are better than them as well.

It sucks because Brady is 39 and next year he hits the big 4-0. He’s healthy and has 4 less games of hits to his body than past years (thanks Roger). However, there just isn’t something right with the defense this season. They don’t have an “IT” guy. They had guys like Revis, Browner, Jones, and Wilfork when they won it last. They don’t have guys like that this year and they can’t rush the passer to save their lives.

I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think I will be this year. The injury is a season-killer.
